Hey peeps! Another day of Bout of Books has come and gone, and I almost didn’t read at all yesterday, but I managed to read a chapter in “Magic Bites” by Ilona Andrews, so yay for me!
So my reading progress yesterday was:
- Magic Bites: 28 pages
Now though I’ve strayed away from my TBR for the readathon a little bit, I am still reading those other books, just… not right now.
I also participated in the challenge that took place, which was to ship two characters together from two different books. Here’s my “ship:”
- Professor Umbridge from the Harry Potter series and Joffery Baratheon from A Game of Thrones.
- Ship Name: Evil Incarnate
Reason: Now let me say this first: I do not ship them romantically. This ship is not a ship in the traditional sense, but rather a ship that is all about power and manipulation. You see, I loathe both of these characters from the very depths of my soul. They are both cruel and evil and they enjoy doing what they do that causes harm – emotionally, physically, or mentally – to those that that they wish to punish. With that being said, I ship them as like a grandmother/grandson type of thing where she oversees his actions and he rules the company. You know what I’m saying? They’d be the perfect evil power couple, even if both would be disgusted by the other.
Yup. I just couldn’t stop thinking about how evil this pair would be, so there you go.
Now I hope that you’re all having a good reading week as tomorrow is the last day of Bout of Books (though I’ll have two more update posts), but I also have something else in store for you all:

Well in the perfect sense, they do feel like the two most unpleasant beings in the history book-dom. (In my opinion) Hahaha. I haven’t personally read or watched GoT to say mean stuff about Joffrey but based on what people are saying… I guess if a grown man would curse him with the wrath of a thousand suns, he’s that bad of a character. :3 But sorry not sorry for Umbridge. I don’t like her.

Considering Joffery is only 14 when his reign of terror begins, he’s quick the little prick. But yes, I agree.

Evil Incarnete… has a nice ring to it haha. Not going to lie, I get all warm and fuzzy when thinking about evil power couples. They are so wrong but yet so right.

Your evil incarnate ship gave me chills, but you are so very very right! You know what they say, it’d be like a car wreck, you wouldn’t be able to look away!

I would love to travel to world of Harry Potter. I know a lot of people would agree with me, but among all amazing worlds, I still feel like Hogwarts would be an amazing place to visit, even if just for a tour ^^

I agree! I love that we have a chance to visit the sets and stuff, but if it were the real HP? That would be even better!

If I could choose I would go for the Harry Potter world. Hogwarts would be the perfect place to spend so many special and magical moments. I hate beer but something tells me I’d love their butter beer haha. Studying spells and all its history would be a wonderful experience. And all the wizards I would be able to meet and hang around with! Wouldn’t it be lovely? Who wouldn’t also want to pet an owl? I’d name mine Sweekie!

What a great giveaway you are hosting. Its quite a hard question though, because all the bookish worlds have their issues! Maybe the world of Rebecca Raisin’s Bookshop and Gingerbread Cafe on the Corner. ‘Ashford’ Village is so quaint and lovely sounding, with load of nice bookish people and the lovely little Gingerbread cafe.
Amanda.
