Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by Jana of That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s topic is about books that are on our spring TBRs. I haven’t really thought about what I want to read this season just yet, but here’s what I currently own – and what I’m looking forward to picking up – this spring!

  • This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews – This is getting to me in April, so within the first few weeks of spring. I cannot wait to read it! It’s a new release from authors I’ve read before and really enjoyed, and I’m excited to see what this new series is going to be about!
  • The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty – The sequel to this book is coming out in mid-May, so I definitely want to get this read before that time! I love her Daevabad trilogy so much, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy Amina’s books, too!
  • Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse – This was on my February TBR and I didn’t end up getting to it, but I still really want to start this trilogy so much, so I’m going to make it a point to read it this spring (or this summer, if I don’t get to it before spring is over).
  • Witch Queen Rising by Savannah Stephens – This is one of the books I listed in a previous TTT for upcoming releases in the first half of the year, and this still holds true! I’d love to read it when it comes out rather than getting it and having it sit on my shelf for an eternity lol
  • The Last Contract of Isako by Fonda Lee – Another one on the list of books I’m excited for, this is a standalone fantasy/sci-fi, and I’m very excited to get to it! I haven’t read her Jade City trilogy yet, but that’s also on the list to read eventually!
  • The Jasad Heir by Sara Hashem – I’ve had this book for a while now, and I know it’s had a recent resurgence in popularity, and so I wanted to jump on the hype train while it’s still in the station. I hear very good things about it, and so I’m excited to dive in!
  • Red Rising by Pierce Brown – I started the audiobook for this a loooong time ago and just never finished it, but I want to finally jump on the Red Rising bandwagon this spring and at least start the series. My wife read the first three books and really enjoyed them!
  • Mate by Ali Hazelwood – I got this when it came out last year and started reading it right away, but it just wasn’t what I wanted at the time so I put it down and haven’t picked it up since. I need to finish it just so I can at least cross it off of my TBR, you know?
  • Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor – I never finished this duology back when it first came out. I read the first book and really enjoyed it, that much I remember, but because it’s been years since I last read it, I’m due for a reread and to finish off the second book, Muse of Nightmares.
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – As one of my favorite historical movies and TV series of all time, it’s only right that I read the original source material, is it not? I read Sense and Sensibility a long time ago, and I do plan on rereading that at some point, but I really want to dive into P&P this spring. It seems a fitting time to do it, you know?

And there’s my list for what I hope to read this spring! Though I may not actually get to all of these this spring, I do still want to get to them this year, at least. I think I’ll have a blast reading them, and some might even become new favorites!
