Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Spring TBR

Hey peeps and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday as hosted by the lovely people of The Broke & the Bookish. Today’s topic is all about the ten books on our spring TBR, and these are just a few I really want to try to get to this spring. And yes, there’s more than ten because let’s be real: unrealistic goals are key.

1 . The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner. I just started reading this, and as a debut novel, I’m excited to see how it turns out. I’ve been hearing a lot of positive things about this book so I’m hoping to like it as well.

2 & 3. Earth’s End and Water’s Wrath by Elise Kova. I’m currently reading Earth’s End, so I know I’ll get to Water’s Wrath when it’s released later in April. I’m really enjoying this fantasy romance series, and I hope that that streak continues.

4. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. Yeah, I still need to finish this one… I just don’t want to leave it forgotten or anything!

5. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. I need to finish this trilogy. And TMI. It just needs to happen and it’s not going to happen until I finish reading this one, at least.

6. Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews. As the fifth book in the Kate Daniel series I really want to read this because I’ve grown so attached to these characters and I need to know what happens next in the plot. Plus, then I can read…

7. Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews. This is book #5.5 in the Kate Daniels series and it follows one of the side characters, and Kate’s best friend, Andrea. And I’m SO EXCITED about this one because I love her as a character, so to get the opportunity to read a book about her? Yes, please.

8. Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. This is the first book in the Mercy Thompson series, and like the Kate Daniels series it’s an urban fantasy, but it’s main focus is werewolves. There’s other creatures and magic, too, but I’m just wicked intrigued with werewolves, so there you go. Plus, female mechanic. Yes.

9. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I know, I know, I’m late to the party, but I do want to get to this this spring! I think I might marathon the trilogy depending on how much I like the first book, but yeah. I want to know what’s all the hubbub about the Grisha world!

10. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I’ve been putting off reading this book because I wasn’t the biggest fan of Cinder, but I still enjoyed it. I hear the series gets better as it goes, I just… yeah.

11. Gathering Darkness by Morgan Rhodes. I’ve been putting this one off, too, because I’m having a really hard time connecting with these books, even though I do enjoy them.

12. Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater. I need to keep going because I love this series so much. I’m trying to pace myself with these books so when the last book comes out I can just get it and read it right away.

13. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. I really want to give this a go and see how I like it because that first one just didn’t do it for me, but I’m still curious to find out what happens next.

Honestly, the list can go on and on because there are SO many books that I want to read this year, and even just this spring, but I know that 1) I won’t get to them right now, and 2) I need to pace myself.

What are some of the books you want to get to this spring? Are any of my books on your TBR? Let me know!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on Your Spring TBR List

Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday, as hosted by the lovely people at the Broke and the Bookish. Today’s topic is books on your spring TBR list. So these are the books I’m most excited for reading that are being released between March 20th to June 21st of this year. So… here’s my list! It’s short three books, but that’s okay.

1. “We All Looked Up” by Tommy Wallach. This sounds like an interesting contemporary book about four teens going through everyday struggles while an asteroid is coming toward Earth. It sounds interesting enough.

2. “Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda” by Becky Albertalli. This sounds like a fun read with drama and other kinds of things going on. I hope that it doesn’t disappoint!

3. “The Heir” by Kiera Cass. It’s the start of a new world with Eadlyn and her own Selection love story. Though I haven’t finished the second or third book in the series yet, I am working on it this month!

4. “A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J Maas. This is a book with faeries and cool things and it’s by my current favorite author. Of course I’m going to get it.

5. “An Ember in the Ashes” by Sabaa Tahir. It’s a standalone fantasy novel. I mean, that alone is awesome. The cover is cool, the book sounds cool. I’m just excited to read it, frankly.

6. “Magonia” by Maria Dahavana Headley. Epic adventure and strange things seem to happen in this book when a girl can see a ship flying in the air, but no one believes her except her best friend. Plus the cover is really pretty.

7. “P.S. I Still Love You” by Jenny Han. This is the second book in the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy? I think it’s a trilogy. Anyway, it’s got romance and cute things and I’m excited to continue on.

Now, though I only have seven listings for this T10T, it’s okay because there are more books that I’m excited for coming up later in the year. I can’t wait!
