Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s topic is all about the goals we want to set for 2026, and I have a few I’d like to achieve this year regarding my reading life that I want to talk about, so that’s what I’ll do here!
I also briefly talked about a few blogging goals last week, so I’m going to count that for three of my goals here as I don’t think I have ten goals I’d actually like to accomplish lol
Blogging Goals
Check out my 2026 Blogging Goals post for more! But basically, here’s the quick rundown:
1. Post at least once a week
2. Revamp the blog design-wise and content-wise
3. Connect with others bloggers and readers
4. Have fun blogging again
Reading Goals
I have a few goals I’d like to achieve this year in regards to my reading, so let’s chat about them!
- Read 12 books
- Extended goals:
- Read 25 books
- Read 35 books
- Read 50 books
- Each milestone reached will increase the overall goal, but my true goal is only 12 books! Much less pressure, but adding stretch goals adds more fun to it for me lol
- Extended goals:
- Use my TBR Prompt Jar at least once per month to choose a book to read as a mini challenge.
- Read three ______
- This means I want to read three of each of these:
- Classics
- Non-fiction
- Series – as in, complete the series fully
- This means I want to read three of each of these:
- Participate in the PopSugar Reading Challenge. I actually like a lot of the prompts this year, so though I don’t aim to do all of the prompts, I do want to do some of them!
- Have fun! This year is the year I want to turn my reading life around for the better, and I want to be able to enjoy my time engaging with books and having fun reading.
As you can see, a my major goals this year is to have fun with what I’m doing. Reading and blogging as hobbies was such a huge part of my life in my early twenties and I’d like to bring that back as much as I can in my now mid-thirties. (That’s weird and painful to say lmao)
Other Goals
Since I already technically listed nine goals, I don’t know that I have at least one more I can list. But I think one thing I’d like to keep in mind this year is to just be mindful. That’s in regards to many aspects – financial, health, relationships, etc. I think it’s important to just be kind to yourself and others, especially given how hard times have been lately. So yeah, that’ll be my last goal of the year!
