Month: July 2016

  • July 2016 Wrap Up

    july2016

Hey guys! We’re almost in August which means it’s almost my birthday, which means I’m going to be OLD. Okay, well, 25, so not that old, BUT STILL. A QUARTER OF A CENTURY.

Anyway, I had a much better reading month this month than I did in June, and I got some writing done, which is always exciting. So let’s talk about all of the things I did this month!

    What I Read

    • Girl Against the Universe by Paula Stokes – Such an awesome book with a cute story and characters, where there was, of course, romance, but it dealt with mental health, supportive friendships, and learning about yourself. 5/5 stars Check out my review!
    • Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo – I can definitely see what all the hype was about even though it felt like it was missing something. Like an extra bit of oomph! But I still enjoyed it. 4/5 stars Check out my review!
    • Orange: The Complete Collection vol 1 & 2 by Ichigo Takano – I LOVED THIS. These two manga volumes were definitely my favorite reads this month and I am just so happy that I read them. Beautiful story about depression, suicide, and the importance of friendship. 5/5 stars Check out my review!

Books I Started But Didn’t Finish

    • The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson – I found it really difficult to get into this book, and I only read the first chapter. Maybe it’s just her style of writing, but I’ll still give it a go.
    • The Dragon Round by Stephen S. Power – I received this for review on Net Galley from Simon and Schuster and I didn’t finish it on time, but I was enjoying it, even if there was a lot of technical jargon and other problems with it.
    • Red Rising by Pierce Brown – Okay, technically I started this a long time ago, but I started listening to it again and I was enjoying it! But I still haven’t finished it.

    Books I Got This Month

    Discussions I Held

None. NONE!? What is this sorcery!? I usually have at least one discussion… Huh. I guess this month didn’t have much going on.

Top Ten Tuesdays & Top 5 Wednesdays

    Writing Related

    • Camp NaNoWriMo: July Edition – That’s right! I had joined Camp NaNoWriMo! My plan was to do weekly updates again, but that fell flat pretty quickly.
    • I will say, though, that I started one novel then worked on the one I started last year because I’m finally – FINALLY – almost done writing the first draft. Maybe I’ll finish it today once this post is already up, but I’m very excited!

    Fun Things

    fof-button-2016

I read one fantasy book this month, bringing my total up to 25 out of 30 fantasy books read for the year! I’m pretty impressed, really.

    Life Updates

    • I think I had a boring life this month… It consisted mostly of work.
    • It was my mom’s birthday, though, so there’s that. The week after her birthday we had a barbecue at their house and a bunch of family came over, plus I got to see my nieces and nephew, whom I don’t see that often. It was nice!
    • And I applied to two rep searches on Instagram: one for Evie Seo and the other for Bookworm Boutique! I think it’s so cool that they put out products, and I already have one from Evie so I know that they’re good quality!

  • Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

Hey, it’s another tag! These are super fun, so I wanted to do another one. So, here we are with the Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag as created by Read Like Wildfire. I saw this over on Sophie @ Blame Chocolate‘s blog, so check out her answers, too!

This tag is pretty much one in which we reflect on the books we’ve read this year (and want to read this year) and pick one for each category, so here we go:

Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2016

    acourtofmistandfury

Have you heard of a little book called A Court of Mist and Fury yet? Because this was, by far, the best book I’ve read this year. It had action, romance, betrayal, awesome characters, and so much more. I loved it so much and I couldn’t recommend it enough. If you didn’t like ACOTAR, definitely check out ACOMAF.

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2016

    dreamsofgodsandmonsters

One of my favorite trilogies of all time is Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, but for this specific question I’m going with Dreams of Gods and Monsters, the third book in the trilogy. It’s massive compared to the other two, but it is nothing short of amazing. The beautiful writing mixed with the plot, the characters, the setting, the love, heartbreak, magic, war, and so much more are just some of the things that make this sequel an amazing conclusion and definitely the best I’ve read this year.

Most Anticipated Release for the Second Half of the Year

    empireofstorms

Need I even say anything? Of course this is my most anticipated release for the second half of the year! As it’s my favorite series I’m highly anticipating the release of this fifth book in the series. I need to know what happens next, like, yesterday.

    Biggest Disappointment

    thewinnerscurse

I know that The Winner’s Curse is a very loved trilogy, but this first book fell really flat for me. The characters felt flat and not very realistic, the plot was kind of dry, and I just couldn’t really get into it. The parts I liked were when Kestrel and Arin were interacting in some romantic way, and a few other parts, but other than that? I’m disappointed.

    Biggest Surprise

    thedeal

The Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy definitely surprised me because, as this was my first foray into New Adult, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the writing, the characters, the setting (Massachusetts, woowoo!), were all very well done and so engrossing. Yes, sometimes I was a little annoyed with how much sex there was, but I still really enjoyed this series (and I’m very excited for the last book coming out in September!).

    Favorite New Author

    7c54c-elise2bkova

Elise Kova is definitely a new favorite author because of her Air Awakens series. As her debut series is a high fantasy YA/NA story with awesome writing, amazing characters and character development, stunning magic, and cool plots? Yeah, she definitely takes the cake for this one and I highly recommend checking out her series.

    Newest Fictional Crush

    truthwitch

Aeduan from Truthwitch is definitely my newest fictional crush if we’re talking from the beginning of the year until now. He’s kind of like the villain in the story, but he’s also not because he’s got a lot of secrets that I NEED to know and I just love him so much. I don’t care that he could kill me without even batting an eye, he’s still awesome. I think I love him because of his power, how he thinks, and because he’s like a little brooding baby. Okay, I’m gonna stop now.

    Newest Favorite Character

    myladyjane

I think I’m going to have to go with the cast of characters in My Lady Jane (which I know is cheating, but I don’t care) because each one is strong in their own right, learns a lot about themselves and the world around them, and they’re just funny. Especially G, he’s probably my favorite from the book. All of them, though, are wonderful characters.

    Book That Made You Cry

    orange1

It’s this little manga series called Orange and it was the most beautiful thing I have read recently about depression and suicide and the importance of friendship. Oh man, this was seriously an amazing book, guys, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. I LITERALLY SOBBED ACTUAL TEARS when I read this. And I never cry when I read. Rarely, if ever. So that’s just saying something with how close it hit home for me.

    Book That Made You Happy

    theravenking

I think for this one I’m going to go with The Raven King, even though it simultaneously tore me apart and made me happy. It was a brilliant conclusion and I think that it wrapped up a lot of loose ends really well and it gave us a bit of hope, as readers, to think about where the characters are and what could possibly happen next.

    Favorite Book to Film Adaptation

I’m going to be honest: I haven’t seen any book to movie adaptations this year. So, um, yeah, I don’t know how I can answer this one…

Favorite Post You’ve Done This Year

I actually did a whole Top 5 Wednesday topic on this! But I definitely think that my discussion post of Am I A Reader? is probably my definite favorite. It got people thinking about what constitutes calling yourself a reader and why it’s important that we address these issues from time to time.

Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought This Year

    hamilton

So, if we’re talking aesthetics, I think I’m going to have to go with Hamiltion: The Revolution. I mean… Have you seen this thing in real life? Not only is it massive, but it has deckled edges, really awesome textured paper, beautiful photographs, a classic looking spine, and it’s all about my favorite musical of the year. So, yes, I’m going with this one.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet But Want To

    thissavagesong

I just received This Savage Song from Uppercase not that long ago so I definitely want to read it as soon as I can! Monsters, music, no romance? Sounds interesting to me!

What Book Do You NEED to Read By the End of the Year?

    thewellofascention

There’s a few I could pick for this one, but I’m going to go with The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson, the second book in the Mistborn trilogy. I read the first book last year and absolutely loved it, so I need to know what happens now that a lot of shit went down in the last book. Seriously, I need to know, but the books are so huge… I’ll see if I can read it.

And there you have it! Those are the books I’ve freaked out about and am freaking out about this year. I’ve read a lot of great books and very few disappointments, so I’m really glad I’ve had such a good reading year so far.

  • Read Them All Thon Pokemon Indigo League Readathon + TBR

    readthemallthon

Guys. Guys. I need to do this readathon. It’s like all of my Pokemon Trainer dreams are finally coming true after all of these years.

So this epic readathon is being hosted by Aentee @ Read at Midnight and there’s a lot of fun rules and stuff, which I will list here, but also I’ll link back to her post, too (click her name).

P.S. All graphics are made by Aentee and are free to use for this readathon!
P.P.S. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo and I claim nothing. This is just for fun!

Let’s start off with the basics:

    What Is It?

The Pokemon Indigo League #ReadThemAllThon is a 3 weeks long reading challenge based on the Kanto’s Indigo League. Long-time fans of the series would recognize this as the first set of gyms Ash Ketchum had to conquer in his quest to become the Pokemon Master. Now you, my friends, will also embark on a journey to become the very best. Instead of fighting gym battles, you’ll be reading books instead!

    When Is It?

The read-a-thon will run for 3 weeks between Sunday 14th August to Sunday 4th September.

You can sign up anytime between now and the end of the read-a-thon.

    My Pokemon

Now, there’s a bunch of fun associated with this readathon, and I’ll let you read all of the fine print on Aentee’s post, but here’s the Pokemon I’m going with!

    bulbasaurcard

A stage three Pokemon is good for points, and I love Bulbasaur, so I’m choosing this little guy! Also, thank you to Aentee for making me the trainer card!

    His next evolution: 150CP

    The Challenge/Gyms

There are 8 reading challenges within this read-a-thon, based on the 8 gyms that are in the Indigo League. Earn a badge every time you complete a book!

    readthemallthon-badge01-boulder

    mooncalled

Well, this one’s pretty self explanatory, so I’m going to choose to read Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. This is the first book in the Mercy Thompson series and has been on my TBR for months now.

    288 pages, potential +28CP

    readthemallthon-badge02-cascader

    theserpentking

Okay, some of you know that I don’t cry easily when it comes to books. At all. I might get teary or choked up, but it’s very rare that I cry. BUT, I’ve seen several recs for this one and I’m going to go with The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner, because I started it months ago and never finished it, but I guess it’s supposed to be a tear jerker?

    384 pages, potential +38CP

    readthemallthon-badge03-thunder

    thebookthief

I mean, what book would that be? I think for this one I’m going to go with The Book Thief by Markus Zuzack. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things and everyone and their brother/mother/sister/uncle’s best friend’s daughter’s dog has read, so, it’s officially my turn.

    592 pages, potential +59CP

    readthemallthon-badge04-rainbow

    aristotleanddante

For this one I’m choosing Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Friendship that turns out to be more while these two boys go out to find the truth of the world and who they are? Yes please!

    359 pages, potential +35CP

    readthemallthon-badge05-soul

    thebronzehorseman

I’m going to do a crazy thing and pick The Bronze Horseman by Paulina Simons for this book. Why is it crazy, you ask? Because it’s over 800 pages long in kindle form… I’m crying already, but I also want to read this one because Russia + romance.

    811 pages, potential +81CP

    readthemallthon-badge06-marsh

    thenightcircus

I think for this one I’m going to finish reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I started reading this a couple months ago for a different readathon, but I only read the first two or three chapters before I stopped because I just wasn’t in the mood at the time. But I’m hoping to read it for this readathon!

    512 pages, potential +51CP

    readthemallthon-badge07-flame

    scarlet

Okay, so it’s not 100% red, but its focal point is red! For this challenge I’m finally going to read Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I’ve been putting it off for a long time and now I’m finally going to settle down and read it.

    452 pages, potential +45CP

    readthemallthon-badge08-earth (1)

    legend

Alright, I’m not really into dystopian much anymore, but for this challenge I’ll read at least one more. For this one I’m going to choose Legend by Marie Lu. I’ve heard a lot of great things about this first book so I’m hoping to enjoy it.

    305 pages, potential +30CP

Potential Total CP to Earn if I Finish ALL of the Books: 527 (includes +20CP bonus for each book finished)

Do you plan on participating in this epic readathon? Which Pokemon did you choose? Did you choose lengthy books or reasonably sized books for this readathon?

  • Pokemon GO! Book Tag

    pokemon-go-book-tag

GUYS. As soon as I saw this tag I HAD to. HAD. TO. If you don’t know the latest craze to sweep, well, a portion of the world, it is Pokemon GO!, a game where we can finally all realize our childhood dreams and become Pokemon masters! So, why not combine two loves of mine, books and Pokemon? This tag was created by Aentee @ Read at Midnight and I’m so excited to do this tag!

*All graphics were made by Aentee and are free to use.
**Disclaimer: Pokemon GO! belongs to Niantic and Nintendo.

    pokemon-tag-01starters

Of course, I didn’t know about the Pikachu starter until way after the fact, and I had no idea what I was doing when I first started the app, so I ended up with a Squirtle when I wanted a Bulbasaur. But that’s okay!

As for what started my love of reading? I have no idea! I just know that I’ve always loved to read. I would read children’s science books as a kid, beautiful story books, and more.

    pokemon-tag02pikachu

Again: Pikachu starter never happened. And I still haven’t found one in the wild. One day!

Hmm, I’m not big on classics at all… I guess I’m going to say the same as Aentee and say Harry Potter. Even though I haven’t read the whole series, it’s definitely a modern classic that has changed the world of reading forever, I think.

    pokemon-tag-03-zubat

ZUBAT. ZUBAT EVERYWHERE. Same with the damn Pidgey and Rattata.

I think Passenger by Alexandra Bracken is definitely one I lost interest in because it was everywhere at the beginning of this year. I heard a lot of mixed reviews on it and, personally, I’m half way through and really bored with it. So, yeah, interest is gone.

    pokemon-tag-04-ditto

I have not heard of or seen a Ditto anywhere in the game yet, but I hope to one day!

When I read Shadow and Bone by Leigh Barudgo recently I felt that it followed a lot of the same kinds of tropes I see in fantasy YA books: dark, brooding love interest; not strong female character, but gains strength in multiple ways; childhood love interest. I mean, I do enjoy all of these tropes! But, like I stated in my review, it didn’t completely do it for me but I still really enjoyed it.

    pokemon-tag-05-snorlax

My husband has encountered Snorlax multiple times and STILL hasn’t caught one. Poor guy.

Have you heard of Outlander? It’s a ginormous book that’s full of a lot of history and story and stuff and I’m interested in it, but I don’t know if I’ll ever start reading it because it’s such a time commitment.

    pokemon-tag06-gengar

    I’ve caught a few Ghastly, but I haven’t seen a Gengar yet!

My beloved A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas has kept me up late at night because I NEEDED to know what happened next. Every page, every chapter, I needed to know what happened next. It was a miracle I was even able to function when I wasn’t reading it.

    pokemon-tag07-nidokingqueen

I’m working on trying to evolve my Nidorina and Nidorino into Nidoking/queen. I love these Pokemon!

    Oh man, where do I even begin? Here’s a few: Feyre/Rhysand, Aelin/Rowan, Karou/Akiva, Zuzana/Mik, Sofia/Gideon, Lee/Flynn, Lilac/Tarver, Blue/Gansey, Ronan/Adam…. And the list can go on and on and on.

    pokemon-tag08-rapidash

I caught a Ponyta as soon as I hit level 10 very close to my work, but I have yet to see a Rapidash.

Ooh, the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi is very fire-hot and fast-paced! The first book was a little eh, but the other two were very intriguing and fun and way better.

    pokemon-tag09-eevee

Eevee is one of my top five favorite Pokemon! My number one is Growlithe, then Cubone, then Eevee! (Then Sylveon and Phanpy.) I’ve caught a bunch and I have all the Eeveelutions that are out so far.

I’m pretty sure I’ll forever see spinoffs of the Shadowhunter realms by Cassandra Clare, and I’m perfectly okay for that. I need to catch up, for sure…

    pokemon-tag14-magikarp

Yes, my useless friend, I will forever love you.

The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson was definitely amazing! I was taken aback by how amazing it was. Also, the manga series Orange by Ichigo Takako was beautiful and incredible, too.

    pokemon-tag12-legendary

I can’t wait for the opportunity to catch these guys!

I’m still excited to read the next Throne of Glass novel, of course! I miss the characters and the world and I can’t wait to see what’s waiting for them next in the world. I’m doing really bad with the readalong, but I’m going to keep trudging forward!

    pokemon-tag15mew-mewtwo

    Need. Both. Especially Mew.

Hmmm… I do have a few collector’s editions of some books I love, but I don’t know what other collector’s editions there are out there! But I’m sure I’d find one eventually. But, if we’re talking clothing, I’d really like anything Hufflepuff related just to get my collection started because I’m a proud Hufflepuff! Also, more ACOMAF/TOG fan things, thanks.

    pokemon-tag10-egg

    Must. Walk. More.

Hmm… I’m not sure! I’m kind of behind on the times with what’s coming out as debut novels lately. Any suggestions as to what I should keep my eye out for?

    pokemon-tag11-lure-module

I was finally shown how to use one of these and I felt like an idiot for not realizing sooner.

Have you met my queen, Sarah J. Maas? And Laini Taylor. And Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner.

    pokemon-tag13-server-down

It’s the new blue screen of death!

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas, for sure! I can’t waaaaaiiittt. OH! Also The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson! And A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir! SO EXCITEDDDDD!

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT! Ah, I love how Pokemon GO! is changing so many lives and making the communities come back together again and it’s just so cool! I love being able to live out my dream of becoming a Pokemon master!

    I Tag

All of you beautiful people that are into Pokemon! Do it!

    Let’s Chat! ≧◡≦

I’m on Team Mystic, what team are you on? Which Pokemon starter did you pick? What level are you on now? I think I’m level 13. Are you excited to become a Pokemon master?

  • Orange: The Complete Collection Vol. 1 & 2 Manga Review

orange1Title: Orange: The Complete Collection 1
    Author/Illustrator: Ichigo Takano
    Publisher: Seven Seas
    Publication Date: January 26, 2016
    Genre: Manga – Teen – Sci-fi, Romance

    A Plea From the Future

On the day that Naho begins 11th grade, she recieves a letter from herself ten years in the future. At first, she writes it off as a prank, but as the letter’s predictions come true one by one Naho realizes that the letter might be the real deal. Her future self tells Naho that a new transfer student, a boy named Kakeru, will soon join her class. The letter begs Naho to watch over him, saying that only Naho can save Kakeru from a terrible future. Who is this mystery boy, and can Naho save him from his destiny?

When my best friend suggested this manga series to me, I knew I would love it. She knew I would love it. And frankly: I did love it. It was heartwarming, very touching, and it reached all of the places inside of me that I try to not touch – and I needed every minute of it.

There are trigger warnings for depression and suicide and there are spoilers below.

From the characters to the story to the art, I found that each part was expanded upon and really thought over carefully as the story grew and we got to learn more about these characters and just why it is they have to save Kakeru.

Naho, our leading lady, was kind of like your typical shoujo heroine who’s very modest, easily embarrassed, but has a big heart. She cares very deeply for her friends and doesn’t want anyone to get hurt – emotionally or otherwise. I thought that she was very cute and that she did her best to help her friend (who she obviously developed feelings for). I wish she had been more brave at times and had acted as the letters suggested, but I also know that it’s not in her nature to be as brave as she was sometimes.

Kakeru, the main focus of the story, deals with a lot of depression and suicidal thoughts after his mother commits suicide on the day of the entrance exams when he doesn’t return home right after school. He blames himself and, as a result, he holds in his feelings, not sharing with his friends. In the future world (10 years in the future), he is no longer there with them, and they all reflect back on him not being there and what they could have done to save him. In the past life, his friends are changing the future, and as a result he ends up enjoying life a lot more, but he’s still very depressed and puts on a smile so his friends don’t worry. But when they do push and ask him very serious questions, he does eventually break down and tell them some of what’s bothering him and I think those were some of the most important parts.

Suwa, Hagita, Azu, and Takako, the other friends in the group, all try to cheer up Kakeru even though they don’t fully know why they’re doing it just yet. I love that they all try their best to be supportive in whatever way they can and that they don’t back down and let Kakeru drown in a spiral of darkness.

The plot of the story was one that had me reeling from so many emotions. I laughed, I cried (more like sobbed), I was angry, joyful… So many emotions were packed into this first large volume that I felt like this was a story written for me. I loved seeing the progression from the past and the future, to see where they were ten years in the future, how they were living their lives, why they came together, and how they wanted to fix it. And then their past selves, though doubtful at first, really took the letters’ advice to heart and implemented as many changes as possible. It was so inspiring and beautiful.

There was, of course, romance as this is a shoujo manga (girl’s manga, aka, here there be romance and cuteness), and though it was subtle, it was still there and so darn cute. The feelings grew slowly and steadily, and just like any school crush, it was difficult for either party to really speak their feelings. I feel that, if they had, it would have made it just a little bit easier overall.

Overall, my favorite aspect of this book was the friendship because it is such an important element in this story. Not giving up on your friends or taking sides or anything like that. It was all about trying to make one friend happy, yes, but they were all doing it because of how much they care for Kakeru.

This first volume is definitely 5/5 stars and I extremely, highly recommend it.

orange2Title: Orange: The Complete Collection 2 Publication Date: May 31, 2016 Pages: 384 Format: Purchased Paperback

Everyone has regrets in life. So who wouldn’t take the chance to change the past if given the opportunity? When sixteen-year-old Takamiya Naho receives a mysterious letter, claiming to be from her twenty-seven-year-old self, her life is suddenly thrown into flux. The letter informs her that a new transfer student by the name of Naruse Kakeru will be joining her class, and to keep her eye on him. What is Naho to make of the letter’s contents and its cryptic warning?

Orange: The Complete Collection 2 also includes a bonus story, Haruiro Astronaut. This five chapter story is about a pair of twins who discover that they can’t share everything in life – or at least not an alien that suddenly becomes a part of it.

In this second volume, we pick up the story right where it was left off and we find out that all of the friends received letters from their past selves. They all work hard and come together to try to make Kakeru’s life as happy as possible. Of course, sometimes they couldn’t rely on the letters because the events happening in their timeline was different from their future selves’ timeline. Sometimes it would make things worse, but other times it would make things better, and sometimes events would align and they could follow the letters’ suggestions.

Naho really tries to make an effort to express her feelings to Kakeru in this novel, and it does make him happy, until a slip up that causes his thoughts to spiral and he doesn’t want to hurt her anymore and, therefore, turns away from her. This causes a downward spiral that they were hoping they could control, but it ends up happening anyway.

These times were the toughest to read because, as someone who has had similar experiences, once we dove into Kakeru’s point of view and saw his thought process, it was very similar to ones I have had before. When we relived the past Kakeru’s life, it was very saddening, but it also showed just how much the group of friends had come to that point to really make their Kakeru happier and change the outcome to the best of their abilities. I thought that this was a very powerful move and one that was well handled.

The ending, of course, made me burst with happiness. It was so beautiful and heartwarming and it shows just how strong friendship can be; how strong love can be. I absolutely loved this series and thought that it was really well done and showed accurate representations of depression. It’s easy to put on a smile for the world when really you feel like you’re dying on the inside. For Kakeru, this was all too true, and I’m so glad that the friends were able to help him in one timeline even if they couldn’t help him in another.

    Beautiful. Simply beautiful. 5/5 stars.

Also, there was a a bonus five chapter story with different characters called Haruiro Astronaut.

This short story followed twin girls, Chiki and Mami, and how Mami always has the boys falling in love with her, and Chiki’s never really had a crush on anyone before. It’s a cute, hilarious story about the girls’ falling for guys, but it mostly focuses on Chiki and I loved it!

I felt that Chiki and Mami were very different personalitywise even if they were very similar in looks. Chiki was more like the mother hen, always looking out for others – especially Mami – whereas Mami is much more like a child and needing to rely on others.

When Mami introduces Chiki to a hot, smart basketball player, Yui, Chiki finds out that Yui likes her sister. So when those two start going out, we’re introduced to two other characters: Tastuki – Yui’s best friend from childhood – and Taskuoki – a kid from Chiki’s class who claims to like Mami, but really…

Let’s just say: hilarity ensues, there was a lot of laughter (A LOT), and it was adorable and really helped to lighten the mood after reading Orange. It was very cute and heartwarming, and I need a whole series just about these characters, please and thank you. This short story is a definite must read and I rated it 5/5 stars, too!
