I cannot believe we’re at the end of another month already. It’s crazy how time seems to fly sometimes, right?
For those that check out the blog more frequently, you may have noticed that I did a lot of design rework on it. I was experimenting with the different features and options that WordPress has for customizing your blog to feel like your own, and I’m really happy with what I’ve come up with! It’s pink and bubbly and fun, like me! lol
What I Read
I managed to finish five books this month! I wanted to read more, but alas, video games got in the way. It’s okay, though; it’s good to have other hobbies!

- Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte – My first classic of the year, and what a ride it was. Bring out the popcorn, because man oh man, I felt like I was watching a reality TV show for part of it. Check out my review here!
- Love is a War Song by Danica Nava – A fun, fast-paced rom-com about a young woman looking to find her place in life, and her heritage, after her career takes a major hit. Check out my review here!
- Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman – This was a fast-paced RPG story didn’t quite hit all of the marks for me, which is okay! Check out my review here!
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – It took me ten years to get to this book, but I finally did it and I don’t regret it! It was a fun, action packed, high stakes heist, and I cannot wait to read the sequel. Check out my review here!
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas – I managed to finish my reread at around 11:20PM, so just cutting it right under the mark to make it into my read books for the month! Haha! I’m so proud of myself lol But as far as rereads go, I picked up a lot of Easter eggs in this from later books that I remember as this is my third time reading this first novel in the series. I’m still sticking with my 4 star rating for it as it’s still an entertaining read, though you can definitely tell it’s a debut novel and the first of a series with more to come. This also means that I’m on time with the readalong I talked about in my TBR post yesterday, huzzah!
Book(s) I Started But Didn’t Finish

- Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo – I got about 82 pages into the book before stopping for now. Not that I’m not invested, because I am, but I have some other priority reads that I want to get to – and need to get to. I’ll get back to this in either May or June!
The Stats

What I Talked About
These are the things I talked about on the blog this month:
- March 2026 TBR Hopefuls – I think I really like doing the TBR prompt pulls as it gives me a sense of direction, but I also like giving myself some extra books in case I don’t feel up to reading what I pulled for that month. Here’s the books I picked for my TBR, check out the post here!
- Top Ten Tuesday: Fantasy Books That Have Single Word Titles – This was a genre freebie for the week and so I chose to focus on fantasy books that only have single word titles (not as common as you think!). Check out the post here!
- Top Ten Tuesday: Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers – This was a very challenging prompt, but I managed to find ten books on my shelves, physically and digitally, that feature ordinal numbers. Check out the post here!
- Literary Inbox – Popular Book Genres Seen as “Easy Reading” – This discussion post is about how many women-led genres, such as romance, romantasy, and YA books, are often referred to as “easy reads,” and whether or not that statement is reductive or harmful. Check out the post here!
- Top Ten Tuesday: Green Covers – Happy St. Patrick’s Day to those who celebrate! Check out the post here!
- Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Spring 2026 To-Read List – These are all of the books I’m interested in reading this spring! Whether or not I get to all of them is another thing entirely, but it’s alright. Check out the post here!
- Top Ten Tuesday: Words or Phrases That Make Me Want to Read or Avoid a Book – I shared a list that was split half and half for both read and avoid. It seemed only fair to split up this week’s topic this way. Check out the post here!
- April 2026 TBR Hopefuls – Here’s the books I hope to read in April! I’ve got some priority reads as I’m going to a book signing in May, a rest of the year readalong I’m doing, and some prompt picks, so this month’s hopefuls are packed! Check out the post here!

These are reviews for books I read in 2024/2025 that I wanted to write a review for!
- Bloodmarked by Tracy Deonn – I loved this installment so much and was so glad that the third book was right around the corner when I read it. A great sequel to a great first book, and a definite must pick up if you’ve started this series. Check out the review here!
- The Mead and Mishap series by Kimberly Lemming – What a fun, silly, steamy good time! This whole series was a blast that I highly recommend. Check out the review here!
- This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan – This was such a wonderful romance with intense love, not only for one another, but for the self. Check out my review here!
- Can’t Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan – This book means so much to me in more ways than one, and I’m so, so glad to have read it. Check out my review here!
Book Haul
I think I’ll start sharing the books I get in the month, if any, as a fun way to share what I’m interested in reading and what I will (hopefully) get to one day!

- Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy by Stephanie Garber – I keep hearing things about this trilogy that makes me think I’m going to like it. I gave the first few pages a try, and I think it’s one I’ll definitely enjoy when I get into it.
- The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah – I have the first book, The Stardust Thief, that I started a while ago but never finished. However, I saw that the paperback version was available at my local Barnes & Noble and so I couldn’t refuse.

- The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman – This has been making its rounds on Booktube (and TikTok) as a really fun romantasy read, and I read the first few pages and decided to give it a shot.
- Crescent City trilogy by Sarah J. Maas – I have the books in hardcover already, but I got them in paperback for my collection.
- The Dance of Thieves duology by Mary E. Pearson – I read the Kiss of Deception a loooong time ago, and I’m planning a reread, and so I ordered the spinoff duology as I’ve heard a lot of good things about it over the years.

- The Empire Trilogy by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts – I’ve heard so much buzz around this 1980s series that I couldn’t not pick it up. It sounds like classic fantasy with political intrigue, romance (maybe?), and lots of twists and turns to keep me guessing. I’m excited to get into this series! And yes, I got the mass market paperbacks with these stunning (and cheesy) old art on them.
- Mother of Death and Dawn by Carissa Broadbent – I had the other two books in the series and was waiting on the release of the third to be able to binge it when I’m ready, so I went ahead and grabbed a copy!
And that’s it for my monthly wrap up! It was an overall very productive month for the blog, as well as for my reading life! I’m so glad I got back into blogging this year. It’s been a truly great experience as an outlet for me to write, and talk about books. Thank you all for being here; you’re awesome. ❤
Let me know in the comments what your favorite book you read this month was! Happy reading!
